Fiyoku Usage Policy

Effective date: 10.10.2026 · Operator: Mobilkod

1. About this policy

Fiyoku is a community-powered price comparison service. Users scan shelf price labels and product barcodes with their phone camera and share that information, so that other users can find the lowest prices near them.

This Usage Policy explains what you may and may not do on Fiyoku, how we handle submitted data, and how retailers and rights holders can contact us. It applies together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.

2. What Fiyoku is, and what it is not

  • Prices shown in Fiyoku are user-submitted reports. They are not official offers, quotes or price lists of any retailer.
  • Fiyoku is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer or brand mentioned in the app.
  • Retailer names appear only as plain text, to show where a price was observed. We do not use retailer logos or trademarks in a way that suggests any affiliation.
  • The price charged at the checkout always prevails. Prices, promotions and stock levels can change at any time.

3. What you may do

  • Scan the price label and barcode of a product you see on a shelf, and submit the price, barcode, store and approximate location.
  • Confirm, correct or flag prices submitted by other users.
  • Submit only information that you observed yourself and have the right to share.

4. What you may not do

You must not:

  1. Copy or upload content from retailers’ websites, mobile apps, online catalogues, brochures, leaflets or price lists, in whole or in part.
  2. Use bots, scrapers, crawlers or any other automated means to submit data to Fiyoku or to extract data from it.
  3. Scan in a way that captures people, faces, payment cards, receipts or loyalty cards. Fiyoku only needs the shelf price label and the barcode.
  4. Submit false, misleading or outdated prices on purpose, or manipulate prices to harm or benefit a retailer or competitor.
  5. Enter product descriptions, brand artwork, logos or other content copied from third-party sources. Only the price, barcode and store information visible on the shelf should be submitted.
  6. Disturb staff or other customers while scanning, or continue after a store asks you to stop. Please respect each store’s own in-store rules.
  7. Interfere with the security, availability or integrity of the service.

5. How we handle your submissions

  • We do not store images. Fiyoku reads the price and barcode from your camera using optical character recognition (OCR). The camera image is used only to extract that text and is not saved, published or shared. We keep only the extracted data: barcode, price, store, time and approximate location.
  • Verification. Prices may be cross-checked against other user reports. Older or unconfirmed prices are marked as such or removed.
  • Moderation. We may review, hide or remove any data that breaches this policy or the law, and we can remove individual records quickly when needed.

6. Your submissions and licence

You keep any rights you may have in what you submit. By submitting price and barcode data, you confirm that you observed it yourself and have the right to share it, and you grant Mobilkod a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, display and use that data within Fiyoku and to create aggregated, anonymised statistics. This licence ends when you delete the data or your account, except for aggregated and anonymised data and for copies we are legally required to keep.

7. Notices from retailers and rights holders

We respect intellectual property and other legal rights. If you are a retailer, brand owner or other rights holder and believe that data on Fiyoku infringes your rights or is inaccurate, please write to dev@mobilkod.com with:

  1. Your name, company and your authority to act for the rights holder;
  2. A description of the data concerned (store, product barcode, a screenshot or a link);
  3. The right you believe is affected and why;
  4. Your contact details;
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.

What happens next:

  • We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
  • We review the notice within 5 business days and may temporarily disable the record while we do.
  • Because we do not store camera images, notices will usually concern specific price or barcode records. We can remove or correct individual records quickly.
  • Data that clearly infringes rights or breaches this policy is removed. We may inform the user who submitted it and allow them to respond.
  • Repeat infringers may have their accounts suspended or closed.

Retailers who want accurate prices may contact us to correct prices for their stores or to discuss an official data partnership. Information supplied through an agreed channel can be labelled as retailer-verified.

Fiyoku acts as a hosting provider for user-submitted content within the meaning of Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Publications on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed by Means of Such Publications. We do not monitor user submissions in advance, but we act on valid notices and lawful orders.

8. Personal data

We process personal data, such as account details and location, in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK). We use location only to show nearby prices and, wherever possible, approximate rather than precise location. If you believe a submission contains someone’s personal data, please report it and we will remove it promptly.

9. Enforcement

If you breach this policy, we may remove data, limit features, suspend or close your account and, where necessary, report unlawful conduct to the competent authorities. We reserve the right to take legal action.

10. Disclaimer

Fiyoku is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of user-submitted prices or product information, and we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of them. Nothing in this policy limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rules.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.

12. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Subject to mandatory consumer rules, the courts and enforcement offices of [Istanbul] have jurisdiction.
